Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with hand and power tools. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while performing tire-related services, including installation, repair, and maintenance. The Tire Technician plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and customer satisfaction through expert tire care and basic automotive maintenance.
Duties
Install, rotate, balance, and repair tires efficiently and accurately
Perform wheel alignments and other related automotive repairs as needed
Use hand tools and power tools to remove and install tires and wheels
Conduct safety inspections on tires and related vehicle components
Assist customers with tire selection, sales, and maintenance recommendations
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met
Heavy lifting of tires and wheels to facilitate installation or removal
Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions or concerns
Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors
Qualifications
Dealership experience or mechanic experience is highly preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and tire technology
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Knowledge of automotive repair procedures is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience with sales or upselling services is advantageous
Valid driver’s license preferred for test-driving vehicles after service completion
