Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our afternoon/evening bakery operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking along with a commitment to maintaining food safety and quality.
Duties
As a Bakery Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation of baked goods according to established recipes and standards, including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, fillings, and other prep work etc.
Ensuring all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area to promote a safe working environment.
Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient bakery operations.
Monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
Decorating Cookies, Cupcakes, Brownies, Macarons, Cake Pops, Cinnamon Rolls
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
Previous experience in the baking industry or restaurant environment is preferred
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety standards and practices
Ability to communicate effectively with team members. Must be fluent in English
A willingness to learn new baking techniques and improve skills in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including early mornings (6am start), afternoons and weekends as needed.
