This position would include, but is not limited to the slaughter of all forms of red meat, breaking of carcasses into primal cuts, deboning meat for grinding, cutting meat for retail store and custom orders, grinding meat, and making patties.
Requirements for the job include: The ability to work as a team and to follow written and verbal instructions in English. The position also requires standing while working and lifting approximately 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs with help. The ability to work in an average working temperature of about 9 Celsius. A good knowledge of the cuts of beef, pork, lamb, goat and chicken would be beneficial. Knife sharpening skills would be an asset. Even though driving is not part of the job, a valid drivers license and the means to get to and from work is a must.
