Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team, working primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Candidates must be detail-oriented, organized, friendly and extremely qualified. All training is provided.

Work Schedule

Training (Summer):

Tuesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM

Wednesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM

Saturdays: 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Regular Schedule (September onwards):

Tuesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM

Wednesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM

Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures at the front desk
Performing administrative duties, such as: scheduling appointments, authorizing insurance and billing, data entry, and managing inventory.
Preparing patients for eye examinations: pre-testing patients using eye-testing machines, performing depth and color perception tests, performing retinal imaging scans,



and educating patients on proper contact lens care. All training will be provided.
Assists with the cleaning and disinfection of office equipment and exam rooms

Experience
Experience in a similar setting is an asset but not a must.
Experience with contact lens wear is an asset but not a must.

Pay: $17.75 per hour

During summer training, the position is for: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The regular schedule starting September is for: Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Are you NOT available at anytime during those periods?
