Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Emergency Medicine

Sunnybrook is a tertiary care hospital in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area with 1.2 million patient visits annually including 64,000 ED visits. We serve as a regional referral centre for diverse specialties, including burns, stroke, cancer, interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, vascular, spinal surgery, and high-risk maternal/neonatal care.



We function as the base hospital for Toronto EMS and are proud to be Canada’s largest trauma centre and the first hospital in Canada to be accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Level 1 Trauma Centre. We are a collaborative and collegial group of approximately 45 physicians with a commitment to academic success and clinical excellence. We prioritize group wellness and flexible scheduling due to our wide-ranging practice patterns and interests. These interests include pre-hospital care, quality improvement and patient safety, health services research, virtual care, technological innovation, ultrasound, and medical education. Clinically, we function in a well‑resourced environment with a diverse, complex patient population. We have unparalleled support from specialist consultants and allied health, as well as comprehensive options for follow‑up to ensure our patients receive the best care during and after their ED visit.
