Summary Responsible for repair, commissioning, and training of Normet Equipment in a protected and timely manner by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities Apply knowledge and abilities to perform technical repairs according to schedule.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems with the appropriate equipment to determine the most efficient course of action.
Estimate repair costs and obtain authorization prior to beginning work for all repairs.
Modify and/or repair vehicle systems including chassis, driveline, engine, transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrics.
Test and adjust all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and circuits.
Complete repairs in a timely manner.
Wear necessary safety equipment each day, including hard hats, safety glasses, proper work boots, safety harnesses and any other safety equipment needed for the assigned job.
Act and interact professionally and effectively both within a small, dedicated team and while working autonomously, both internally (business)
and externally (customers and subcontractors).
Maintain Normet’s quality goals in the manufacturing area by reporting any non‑conforming issues.
Input ideas to the Continuous Improvement process to add value to overall results.
Finalize repair order and complete service report in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Accounting Department to ensure prompt billing of all parts, service, and travel time.
Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain repair items, components, and information as needed.
Coordinate with Parts Department to complete necessary warranty paperwork.
Coordinate with Parts Department for missing items or damaged items discovered during the commissioning process.
Complete production report and submit it to Manager, Service Cluster.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
