About The Role
We’re seeking a hands‑on, experienced Landscape Construction Site Leader to oversee daily site operations and guide our talented crews. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects efficiently, safely, and beautifully — ensuring every detail meets Fossil’s exacting standards. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, leads by example, and enjoys mentoring others in a positive, team‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Planning
Plan ahead, communicate goals clearly, and lead by example on-site.
Coordinate daily tasks and ensure efficient progress in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Provide clear direction, feedback, and motivation to maximize crew performance.
Quality & Craftsmanship
Uphold Fossil’s reputation for exceptional workmanship and attention to detail.
Ensure all construction and finishing meet design intent and quality standards.
Support and mentor team members to build skill, consistency, and pride in their work.
Safety & Equipment
Maintain a safe work environment and uphold Fossil’s safety standards.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of all equipment.
Act decisively and responsibly in the event of an incident or unsafe condition.
Administration & Reporting
Complete all site documentation and project reports accurately and submit them on time.
Assist with scheduling, material coordination, and progress tracking.
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in high‑end residential landscape construction.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and grading drawings.
Solid understanding of construction math and layout methods (e.g., rise over run, 3‑4‑5 layout method, and basic geometry for grading accuracy).
Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Assets
Experience operating skid steers or mini excavators.
Rigging and drainage system experience.
Horticulture and planting experience, especially with large specimen trees.
Familiarity with masonry and paving applications, including thinset, mortar, and grout.
