We currently have an opening at our Red Deer facility for a dynamic leader with a proven track record as a Shift Supervisor.
Responsibilities Scheduling, providing direction, coordinating, training, and leading crew to achieve or exceed planned safety, production, quality, and recovery targets while minimizing costs and labor relations issues.
Drive results by optimizing operations to increase productivity and improve Yield and First Pass Yield.
Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety, health, environmental, and quality programs.
Plan, align, and direct daily production activities to meet or exceed daily production requirements and monthly shipping plan.
Conduct monthly safety meetings and ensure a safe work workplace.
Work with operators and stakeholders to solve problems effectively.
Provide or arrange training for employees to meet job standards.
Support all company and regulatory requirements and report mechanical/electrical concerns immediately.
Engage employees in continuous improvement to identify and eliminate waste.
Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field; engineering degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.




Minimum two years of industrial operations experience; experience in steel/pipe facilities preferred.
Previous experience leading a team and overseeing work.
Demonstrated business operations and process improvement experience.
Understanding and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and safety standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to motivate a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willingness to support a 24/7 production schedule and overtime on short notice.
