Position Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounting and payroll functions across multiple entities within our Group of Companies. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a rapid-paced environment.

In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this position provides general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Compliance
Process full-cycle weekly payroll accurately and on time
Calculate and remit payroll source deductions in accordance with regulatory requirements
Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll legislation

Accounting & Reporting
Prepare and file monthly HST returns for all companies within the Group
Review, reconcile, and post monthly credit card transactions to the general ledger
Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial and operational reports for management
Assist the Controller with month-end closing processes

Accounts Payable & Administration
Provide support to Accounts Payable and Invoicing as required




Perform general administrative and office duties as needed
Contribute to process improvements and internal controls

Qualifications & Experience
2–3 years of experience in an accounting or payroll role
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Robust Excel skills, including experience working with complex spreadsheets
Experience with ERP systems (asset)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience in the construction industry (asset)
Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
