Duties
Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and inspection reports
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or potential delays




Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting issues to keep trucks in optimal condition
Ensure all freight is properly secured and documented for safe transport across various terrains and weather conditions

Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for long-distance transport
Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot common vehicle issues on the road
Solid attention to detail for inspection routines and documentation accuracy
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and clients
Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
