Geotab is seeking a Corporate Development Analyst who will drive our investment strategy by sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities. What You’ll Do
As a Corporate Development Analyst , your key responsibilities include developing internally generated investment opportunities, performing financial analysis and modeling to inform transaction decisions, supporting the CCDO in portfolio company oversight as a Board Member or Observer, managing corporate reporting and Investment Committee materials, and leveraging cross‑functional teams to achieve desired investment objectives and benefits.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Analyze industry trends, Geotab’s competitive strengths, and strategic opportunities to identify potential investment targets.

Maintain and develop relationships with investment banks, boutique M&A; advisory firms, and strategic partners to facilitate deal flow.

Develop internally generated investment opportunities aligned with Geotab’s strategic growth objectives and investment thesis.

Participate on deal execution teams, taking responsibility for assigned components of investment transactions as directed by the CCDO.

Develop financial models, valuations, and analysis to inform investment decision‑making and support due diligence processes.

Develop analysis, models, and reports to inform transaction and investment decision‑making as required.

Fulfill corporate reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including providing the CCDO with appropriate materials for the Investment Committee.





Provide inputs to bi‑weekly Geotab Investment Committee (GIC) meetings.

Support the CCDO as Board Member or Observer with analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual results for portfolio companies. Evaluate management forecasts.

Maintain the CCDO’s calendar—organize, attend, document meetings, and ensure next steps are actioned.

Maintain a comprehensive database of contacts, companies, and meeting notes.

Leverage Geotab operating functions such as Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and others to achieve desired investment objectives and benefits.

Monitor portfolio company performance and support ongoing value creation initiatives.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

3–5 years of required previous experience in investment banking, equity research, venture capital, or private equity.

Financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.

Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills with the ability to develop complex investment and transaction analyses.

Knowledge of investment processes, deal structuring, portfolio management, and due diligence.

Experience evaluating management forecasts and analyzing company financial performance (monthly, quarterly, annual).

Excellent relationship‑building skills with the ability to develop and maintain networks with investment banks, advisors, and strategic partners.

Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare materials for executive leadership, Board, and Investment Committee audiences.

Proficiency in financial analysis tools (Excel/Google Sheets) and presentation software (PowerPoint/Google Slides).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain databases, and track action items.

Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams including Legal, Finance, HR, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving and critical thinking capabilities.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage confidential information with discretion.

The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary depends on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, education, overall experience, and the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.

Hiring Range: $105,600—$125,600 CAD
