Do you have experience in the aerospace industry with avionics or mechanical systems, and would you like to progress and develop current skills? Then this job is for you! The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Technical Publications team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).
You will be part of the Systems team responsible for revising the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM). The team is organised in such a way as to promote autonomous cross‑functional collaboration, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as Technical Writer will be to review engineering documentation, carry out impact analyses, review revised tasks for approval and incorporate changes.

Your challenges: The principal task will be to research, plan, write and revise the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM).
Communicate regularly with Engineering to validate troubleshooting procedures before being published.
Analyze engineering source documents to determine impact on the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) and take steps to revise as needed.
Analyze and respond to customer inquiries regarding the FIM publication.
Identify and implement processes and product improvements inline with the Strategic plan.
Your boarding pass: You hold a college diploma (DEC) in aircraft maintenance or avionics, or equivalent field.
You have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience within the aerospace industry.
You have strong communication skills (written and spoken) in French and English.
You have a strong skill set for troubleshooting and problem solving.
You must have a thorough understanding of technical drawings, wiring/schematic diagrams.
You have a detailed understanding of Technical Publications processes and technologies (an asset).
You have basic understanding of S1000D and ATA specifications (an asset).
You have good knowledge of XML authoring language (an asset).
