Practice Director - Role Overview
Professionals who perform the Practice Director role are senior managers who provide leadership to the entire support organization and are responsible for all aspects of support delivery for a designated group of products. The role requires a deep understanding of the support operations and delivery model across the support organization, as well as a broad understanding of IBM Support strategies and priorities.
The role leverages strong leadership, communication, organization, and critical thinking skills. The Practice Director takes on an active client advocacy role within the support organization. Anticipating client needs and ensuring client success are essential responsibilities. The Practice Director partners and collaborates effectively across a wide range of stakeholders in the support life cycle, from Offering Management, Service Planning, Sales, Lab Services, Technical Support, Development, and most importantly our Clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the entire support organization and oversee support delivery for the designated product group.
Actively advocate for clients, anticipating their needs and ensuring client success.
Partner and collaborate effectively across stakeholders in the support life cycle.
Spend time with teams and clients, and generally be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum 7 years Oracle project management experience,
with a minimum of 2-3 multi-pillar full-cycle projects.
Minimum 3-5 years consulting experience.
Preferred Technical and Qualified Experience
Robust customer service orientation with strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of Standard Waterfall or Agile project implementation methodology.
Ability to formulate and communicate a structured approach to the teams.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks and deliverables in high-pressure environments and situations.
Project Management Certification highly desirable.
Day-to-day project management of Oracle Cloud projects. Lead project from concept through completion through the project life cycle while meeting scope, schedule and resource targets while achieving the desired business results.
Other Relevant Job Details
Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions of Ukraine) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
