Kitchen staff will closely work with the Store Manager while maintaining a positive, supportive, and qualified relationship with Tsi’pun Supermarket customers and staff. The Kitchen staff will assist in food preparation to ensure the smooth functioning of the kitchen operation.
Key Deliverables and Expectations:

Ability to manage competing priorities in a quick-paced kitchen setting
Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, appliances, and food preparation workstations
Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
Weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients per recipe instructions
Prepare meals
Coordinate deliveries; including preparation of orders,
loading of vehicles, driving of delivery vehicles, timely arrival of deliveries, and unloading of deliveries
Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards, and storage areas and bring supplies from storage areas to work areas
Follow all food health and safety requirements
Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors
High-quality customer service
Perform other related duties as requested
Experience and Attributes:
Current Food Safe Certification preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in a restaurant preferred
Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift 50+ pounds
A valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract preferred
Willingness to work weekends and nights
Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred
Robust teamwork and communication skills
