We are seeking a highly skilled CWB Certified in SMAW and GMAW welding procedures to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and various welding techniques. This position offers an prospect to work on diverse projects including structural components, and assembly tasks, utilizing advanced welding skills and mechanical knowledge to ensure high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting welding operations according to project specifications and blueprints
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine welding requirements
Operate power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment safely and efficiently
Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication and assembly
Execute rigging tasks for lifting and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts as needed
Assist with the setup and operation of press brake machines for sheet metal forming
Conduct basic troubleshooting of welding equipment and perform routine maintenance
Follow safety protocols related to welding, rigging, and construction settings
Collaborate with team members on assembly, ductwork installation, or construction projects as required
Requirements
Valid CWB Certification with proven experience in MIG, TIG welding, and plasma cutting techniques
Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, assembly, and blueprint reading
Experience operating press brake machines, power tools, and hand tools
Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings relevant to manufacturing or construction projects
Ability to perform rigging tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as cranes or hoists
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
Construction or manufacturing experience preferred structural steel experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while adhering to safety standards
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
