Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team for weekends . The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning cakes and desserts, ensuring each product meets high standards of quality and presentation. This role involves working in a quick-paced workplace, collaborating with team members, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. Prior experience in cake decorating and food handling is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety practices.
Responsibilities
Decorate cakes and desserts according to customer specifications and company standards
Prepare ingredients and assemble cakes using various techniques such as piping, fondant work, and icing application
Ensure all baked goods are visually appealing, consistent, and meet quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and kitchen area
Handle food safely by following proper hygiene procedures and food safety regulations
Package finished products carefully for delivery or customer pickup
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including baking and ingredient measurement
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders and high customer satisfaction
Skills
Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or related culinary fields
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
Excellent attention to detail and artistic skills for cake design and decoration
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
Good communication skills to understand customer requests and collaborate with team members
Experience in restaurant or food industry settings is a plus
Basic cooking, baking, and food preparation skills are desirable
Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods
Customer service orientation to ensure positive interactions with clients
