Duties
Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring secure handling and proper placement of cargo
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns before departure
Maintain accurate documentation for each shipment, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests




Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability throughout your shift
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently
Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, freight handling, and driving regulations to promote a protected work environment

Qualifications
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Physical ability to lift, load, unload, and handle freight regularly throughout shifts
