The Health & Safety Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring protected and compliant operations within the Rain Carbon Canada facility. With responsibilities in health and safety program management, this position emphasizes proactive hazard identification and effective risk mitigation. Contributing to the Quest for Zero and Safety First programs fosters a solid safety culture aligned with global SH&E; principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the Health & Safety program and conduct plant inspections
• Engage actively with the Joint Health & Safety Committee
• Oversee the annual Occupational Hygiene Program
• Develop and maintain safety procedures and management systems
• Coordinate emergency drills and maintain evacuation plans
Requirements:
• Community College diploma or related technical field required
• 5–10 years of Health & Safety experience in related environments
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Solid communication and problem-solving skills
• Leadership experience in safety initiatives
