Trotter & Morton Building Technologies Inc. is currently looking for hardworking, committed Experienced and Beginner Communication Technicians for full-time commercial work in Calgary, AB.

Roles and Responsibilities

Install and service structured cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio-Visual; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling per specifications and drawings

Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms

Ensure that safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

Complete detailed and accurate paperwork

Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally

Perform other tasks as required

Required Skills

Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, or electronics would be an asset

Flexibility to work in a variety of environments,



from construction areas to finished offices

Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, including pulling cable on a regular basis

Comfortable working at heights

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Required Experience

Experience with structured cabling as a Communication Technician considered an asset, will consider qualified technicians and beginners

High School Diploma, or equivalent

Experience in a construction environment

Experience in commercial construction is an asset
