As a key player reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, you’ll design and implement ground control programs to ensure mine stability. With a focus on technical excellence, you'll lead geotechnical teams and work on innovative projects across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and monitor ground control systems for site stability
• Collaborate with Mine/Geology Directors and Chief Engineers
• Mentor and lead geotechnical teams effectively
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Provide on-call support within the Sudbury Ground Control Group
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in mining, civil, or geotechnical engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a process-based environment
• Solid communication and mentoring skills
• Proven operational credibility in geotechnical leadership
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safety
