Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Data Administrator to join the Data Operations team of a large maritime organization. This role is responsible for the administration, reliability, security, and governance of a contemporary Azure-based data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog, along with a solid background in cloud data engineering, platform operations, and enterprise data governance.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering or data platform administration
Robust Databricks experience, including PySpark, Spark SQL, job scheduling, Delta Lake, and cluster management
Experience with Azure Data Factory, including pipeline development, linked services, parameterization, and Databricks orchestration
Cloud platform administration experience, including RBAC, Azure Key Vault, managed identities,
and Unity Catalog
Pipeline monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support, including performance tuning and resolving job failures
Strong SQL and Python skills, including working with semi-structured data, API integrations, and error handling
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Solid communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience implementing and managing Unity Catalog governance
Dimensional modeling expertise
Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code experience for data platform deployments
