Senior Network Technician
Pay Rate: $65.00 - $75.00/hour, depending on experience
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Calgary, AB T2C 5N1 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview The Senior Network Technician plays a critical role within Customer Solutions, delivering best-in-class IT services and technical solutions that enable business success across global markets.
This role partners closely with regional and global IT service teams (Americas, EAME, AP) to drive effective solution delivery, process optimization, and seamless operational support.
As a subject matter expert (SME), the Senior Network Technician brings deep technical expertise across multiple domains, including infrastructure, applications, and process engineering.
The role works closely with business units (Upstream, Downstream, Chemical, and Corporate) to understand requirements and deliver creative, secure, reliable, and cost-effective technology solutions.
This position also contributes to continuous improvement efforts and stays ahead of industry trends to drive business value through advanced technology.
Responsibilities Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including coordination with affiliates and joint venture partners.
Provide front-end user support (laptops, tablets, mobility solutions, IT service centers, printing, AV, and VR technologies)
Deliver back-end infrastructure support,



including data and voice networks, servers, storage, and facilities.
Offer productivity solutions, consulting services, and technical guidance to business users.
Conduct user education and training to improve adoption and effective use of IT solutions.
Support and implement new and differentiated technologies (e.g., fuel terminal systems, business lab systems, process control interfaces, radio/microwave systems, industrial mobility, AR/VR, wearables, industrial wireless)
Lead or contribute to project integration and execution activities.
Manage incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with IT service management practices.
Oversee vendor relationships and support procurement activities.
Ensure alignment and integration with global and regional IT service initiatives.
Support operational and compliance services, including Procure-to-Pay (PtP), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR), ESG initiatives, Regulatory Response Teams (RRT), legal, security and controls, and data privacy requirements.
Stay current with emerging technologies and maintain strong digital literacy to anticipate and leverage innovation opportunities.




Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development within the team.
Qualifications Minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, including servers, wireless networks, and related technologies.
Proven experience as a Network Technician, IT Specialist, or similar role with strong infrastructure expertise.
Advanced knowledge of networking (data and voice), servers, storage systems, and enterprise IT environments.
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, incident management, and service delivery.
Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
Experience supporting end-user technologies and enterprise systems.
Exposure to industrial or specialized technologies (e.g., process control systems, wireless infrastructure, AR/VR, or mobility solutions) is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across global teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
