Job Overview Ledcor is hiring Maintenance Forepersons for major construction projects across Canada. The role focuses on equipment reliability, safety, and quality workmanship, supporting supervisors and crews.
Responsibilities Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to Heavy Duty Mechanics and Fuel & Lube Technicians.
Forecast, coordinate, and oversee preventative maintenance requirements, including unplanned and emergency repairs.
Schedule, track, and ensure completion of required equipment inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements and Ledcor standards.
Assist in diagnosing faults and malfunctions; support the repair or replacement of defective parts, components, and systems.
Collaborate with maintenance supervision and project construction teams to align priorities, schedules, and operational requirements.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in full compliance with company policies, site procedures, and safety regulations.
Interpret work orders, technical manuals, and schematics; ensure accurate and timely completion of service reports and maintenance documentation.
Coordinate and manage procurement of heavy equipment parts, tools, and consumables to support effective operations and minimize downtime.
Maintain and update maintenance schedules, tracking systems, and documentation to ensure accurate record‑keeping and effective planning.




Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a similar environment.
Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/Technician certification required.
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance, including parts and servicing for Caterpillar, John Deere, and Komatsu equipment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively leading and supporting a team.
Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and site procedures.
Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.
Valid Class 5 (or higher) Driver’s License with a clean 3‑year driver’s abstract.
Familiarity with CSTS‑2020 Fundamentals is an advantage.
Work Conditions Travel allowances provided across Canada.
Living out allowance or camp available for eligible candidates.
14 days on / 7 days off rotation; 10–12‑hour workdays.
Extended health benefits provided by CLAC.
Weekly payment of wages.
