Enhance academic operations with UNB as a Labour Relations Legal Assistant in Fredericton or Saint John. This full time hybrid role focuses on supporting labour relations and policy development.
In this key role, you'll report to the Senior Labour Relations Counsel and assist in academic labour relations activities. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, preparing contracts, and coordinating meetings. Solid organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively will be essential for success in managing legal documentation and supporting collective bargaining.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate labour relations meetings and document distributions
• Draft formal letters and prepare contracts for faculty
• Support negotiation sessions with careful file management
• Conduct comparative research to inform policies
• Maintain confidentiality of legal files and documents
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 3 years in administrative or HR roles
• Robust proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Experience in unionized environments preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
