Join the esteemed Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association as a full time Academic Surgical Pathologist in Ottawa. Contribute to a high-volume practice while utilizing your expertise in anatomical pathology and hematopathology.
This position is available immediately for a qualified candidate with residency training in anatomical pathology and fellowship training in hematopathology. You will work within a team of over 40 pathologists in a subspecialized model with an impressive annual workload exceeding 120,000 surgical cases. The role encourages additional expertise in subspecialties like breast, gynecologic, or gastrointestinal pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and diagnose a range of surgical specimens
• Collaborate with a diverse team of pathologists
• Engage in teaching and academic research prospects
• Utilize advanced digital pathology platforms
• Participate in subspecialty areas beyond primary focus
Requirements:
• MD degree with anatomical pathology certification
• Royal College certification or equivalent
• Eligibility for licensure in Ontario
• Commitment to mandatory vaccinations
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required
