Salary
The salary range for this position is CAD $50.46 - $62.96 / hour.
Job Summary
We are hiring for a Supervisor, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Ultrasound at Burnaby Hospital.
Education, Training & Experience
Must be a graduate of a recognized training program in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography and Diagnostic General Sonography and be certified with Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
Completion of Intravenous Therapy training course or applicable experience working in IV Therapy or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience when required by site practice.

Responsibilities
Supervises and coordinates technical and staffing activities.
Evaluates requisitions for urgency and procedure requirements, consults with radiologist and coordinates with other clinical departments.
Oversees quality of work and participates in QA and risk management activities.
Participates in performance management, recruitment and coaching of team members.
Ensures appropriate staffing coverage and schedules.
Performs technical work as required, including patient positioning and equipment operation.
Works with the Site Coordinator on policy and procedure manuals.
Oversees Occupational Health & Safety regulations and enforces safety techniques.
Oversees area equipment maintenance and service calls.
Maintains records, reports,
inventory and facilitates research projects.
Participates in professional development and continuous quality improvement programs.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
Graduate of a recognized training program in Medical Diagnostic Sonography and certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS. A minimum of four (4) years of recent, related experience, including one (1) year supervisory and leadership experience.
