Join Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag as a Child and Youth Service Worker with full-time openings in Rama First Nation and Barrie, Ontario. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring children in care maintain strong cultural and community ties.

As a Child and Youth Service Worker, you will actively guide care planning and assessments to support children's development and stability. The role requires collaboration with families, cultural advisors, and community services, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. A strong focus on Indigenous teachings and values is essential, aiming to provide culturally relevant support and connections.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct service in alignment with agency policies
• Assess children’s holistic needs and strengths regularly




• Facilitate cultural connections and community resource access
• Lead planning meetings for children's evolving care needs
• Oversee placing safety and wellbeing in care settings

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services
• At least three years' experience in a relevant role
• Extensive knowledge of child welfare laws and Indigenous cultures
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Versatile regarding work hours and responsibilities
