Overview

GFL seeks a Driver to collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from customer sites. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, operating a variety of equipment (including vacuum trucks, box trucks, tractor trailers, and other licensed equipment), and completing all necessary paperwork and government documents. The driver will interact with customers to verify satisfaction and stay in close contact with the supervisor/dispatcher. The position generally operates without direct supervision but is part of a team dedicated to servicing all customers professionally and timely.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate Vacuum/Hydrovac Truck, Box Truck, or Tractor Trailer
- Power washing and high pressure water blasting as required
- Line snaking, drain and pipe inspections as required
- Operate pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, and similar equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and the Industrial Services Shop
- Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous waste
- Collection of hazardous and non-hazardous goods
- Complete all necessary paperwork and government documents
- Assist plant operations as required

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities





- Valid Commercial Driver's License / Class 1 License is mandatory
- 1+ year experience with manual transmission required
- Manual dexterity; ability to lift 75+ lbs required
- Skilled/mature demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors
- Mechanical aptitude
- Overtime as required
