Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Director of Health Services – Clinical Support Services, while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Vision & Values of St. Boniface Hospital, the RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST provides support in the review, development and implementation of enterprise risk management framework at St. Boniface Hospital. During this term position, the RISK SPECIALIST - TERM will work with SBH staff and leadership to populate an integrated risk register and perform analysis of risks; as well as performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience

Experience using risk management and hazard risk vulnerability processes including risk identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, assessment and recommendations for risk reduction.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Successful completion of a recognized post‑secondary diploma/degree in risk management.

Minimum (2) two years’ education in:

Risk Management

Risk Assessment and Treatment

Business Analytics

Auditing

Actuarial mathematics

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Strong knowledge of risk management.

Strong knowledge of internal audit including application of IIA‑aligned methods.

Proficiency in the use of common software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Demonstrated proficiency in planning and research, meeting deadlines, and in leading projects.

Demonstrated conceptual ability, analytical skills and big picture thinking; while remaining attentive to relevant details.

Ability to work independently.
