Are you a skilled Apprentice or Journeyperson Welder looking for an exciting prospect to work on a major industrial project?
At Ledcor, we take pride in safety, quality, and craftsmanship, and we’re looking for dedicated professionals to join our team for a major expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform structural welding on steel components in accordance with engineered drawings and CWB standards
Complete SMAW welding processes as required by project scope
Interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate work
Conduct fit‑up, grinding, and preparation for welding activities
Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and compliance with specifications and procedures
Provide support with rigging and positioning of materials for welding using hoisting equipment
Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures, including hot work permits and fire watch requirements
Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality
Requirements
Journeyperson Welder ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Apprentice Welder must be registered with a provincial training authority
Valid CWB structural welding certification, all positions
Previous industrial construction project experience
Successfully complete pre‑access drug and alcohol testing
Valid government ID
Project online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions
Work schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off or 5 days on / 2 days off
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
