Job Summary
As part of the Social Media Team, the Social Media Specialist acts as the frontline voice of the brand by interacting with customers and followers in real-time on various social media platforms. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, GARAGE, the Social Media Specialist’s main focus will be to create and curate creative content that is aligned with the social media strategy for the GARAGE brand. The Specialist will also support omni‑channel marketing campaigns including contests, promotions and events, and collaborate closely with product, PR, creative and digital teams.

Main Responsibilities

Support the execution of the social media strategy for the GARAGE brand.

Curate and create content for GARAGE social media channels in partnership with the photography and graphic teams.

Plan, copywrite, post and seed content into social channels as needed.

Support GARAGE Marketing team with building seasonal campaign concepts.

Coordinate with internal Product, Visual, E-commerce and Marketing teams to maintain brand voice consistency.

Generate engagement and growth across key channels with innovative content strategies.

Leverage influencer and brand partner content across multiple customer touchpoints.

Customer Relations





Provide online customer support by liaising with customer service specialists and managing online feedback.

Research & Analytics

Use social listening capabilities to lead cultural conversations and trends.

Report and analyze data through native and third‑party platforms.

Objectives

Develop brand awareness and grow the online community.

Increase social media fan base and engagement.

Drive in‑store traffic and generate inbound traffic to the e‑commerce website.

Encourage product adoption.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in social media marketing, preferably in a retail environment with a proven track record of delivering compelling content and a significant increase in traffic and engagement; background in reporting and analytics required.

Excellent knowledge of social media channels (Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat).

Understanding of social marketing principles and strategies.

Excellent social media copywriting skills.

Experience in analytics platforms and tools such as Sprout Social, Dash Social, Hootsuite, Creator IQ, etc.

Experience in fashion an asset.

Bilingual: excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
