Chamakese Education Centre is a Pre‑k to grade 6 school operated on the Pelican Lake First Nation in north central Saskatchewan (Leoville, SK).

Chamakese Education Centre is looking for a Grade 4 Teacher.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Attributes

Develop and monitor program workplans, objectives, and outcomes

Ability to embed local First Nation culture into teaching practice

Implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experience

Tutor students





Provide academic support to students

Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, workshops as directed

Demonstrated ability to connect with children in a student‑centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom

Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and extra‑curricular activities

Be able to prepare students for further educational goals

Participation in curriculum development as required

Successful teaching experience or training

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment
