Salary
The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 per hour.

Responsibilities
Assess patients and collect information from a variety of sources using observation, communication, data review, and physical assessment. Make a nursing diagnosis and determine appropriate interventions.
Plan, perform, and evaluate nursing interventions and care.
Collaborate with patients and their families or caregivers to develop care plans, encouraging family participation and establishing a therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust, and respect.
Participate in admission, care, and discharge planning, ensuring plans are implemented, evaluated, and updated effectively in collaboration with the interprofessional care team.
Coordinate nursing care, set priorities, assign and delegate tasks to support staff, and refer to the interprofessional team according to established protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, LPNs, Patient Care Coordinators, Clinical Nurse Educators, and other health professionals to resolve issues and adjust care plans as required.
Teach patients and families about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance to help achieve health goals.
Plan and discuss referral information with patients, families,
and the interprofessional team, initiating referrals to appropriate health care or community agencies.
Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, observations, interventions, patient and family responses, outcomes, and referrals according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
Participate on nursing committees, care conferences, and councils as required or agreed with the Manager.
Engage in research and quality improvement activities, identifying patient care issues and recommending changes to practices and protocols.
Attend in‑services and other educational programs, identifying learning goals and maintaining clinical competence.
Provide feedback to the Manager about the effectiveness of patient care programs, policies, and equipment.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Completion of the applicable postgraduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the course/program.
Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
Skills and Abilities
Complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate interventions.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, the public, medical staff, and the interprofessional team using verbal, written, and electronic means.
Promote person‑centered care, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity to diverse cultures and preferences.
Integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to solve problems effectively.
Teach and instruct patients and families about essential health topics.
Organize and prioritize work.
Collaborate and promote teamwork among interprofessional team members.
Use factual information, prior learning, and evidence‑based principles to support nursing decisions.
Operate related equipment and relevant computer applications.
Maintain the physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
