The Financial Accountant will work in our downtown Vancouver office, reporting to the AVP, Finance. The role encompasses a wide variety of duties, including accounts payable, financial and regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and ad‑hoc project work.
Responsibilities
The position requires handling accounts payable, preparing financial and regulatory reports, performing financial analysis, and supporting the finance function on an ad‑hoc basis as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of related accounting experience
Preference for candidates with CPA designation or near completion of the CPA program
Advanced skills in both Excel and Access
Thorough knowledge of financial accounting reconciliation processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven time‑management and analytical skills
Superior accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and maintain full workload independently
Calm and professional demeanor
Positive and flexible, willing to assist others as required
Self‑motivated, able to work under pressure
Proven ability to display leadership within small teams

Salary
$60,000 – $75,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses and incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
