Job Description:
We are looking for a Human Resources Director
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
Manage strategic planning for the Human Resources department
Manage all aspects of HR activities with the help of a passionate and autonomous team (staffing, employer branding, onboarding, training and skills development, performance management, labour relations, TFW, OHS, salary management and compensation)
Lead a high-performing HR team and foster its professional development
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and legal standards
Oversee the payroll management process
Drive initiatives to improve organizational culture, employee engagement, and talent retention
Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and needs
Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, providing HR insights and solutions
Manage employee well-being
Desired Profile:
Requirements
University degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in managing HR teams
Member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals
Experience in a unionized environment
Experience in a manufacturing or food environment (an asset)
Strong knowledge of labour and OSH laws and regulations
Ease in administrative recruitment processes
Expertise in HR strategy, change management and organizational development
Technological agility (Office 365, payroll system)
Comfortable working with diversity and inclusion
Fluency in French
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
