Embark on an engineering career with Stantec as an Electrical Engineer-in-Training, specializing in substation projects. This role offers a hybrid work model across prominent North American sites.

You'll be partnering with Senior Engineers to perform essential engineering tasks across HV/EHV AC and DC substations. Focus areas include engineering studies, detailed design work, and providing critical support during procurement and construction phases. Your role also allows for site visits to assess installations and confirm designs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute engineering studies involving short circuits and cable ampacity
• Design switchyard layouts and schematics for substations
• Create technical specifications for essential equipment




• Provide support for commissioning and construction phases
• Assist in proposal and cost estimation efforts

Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• Eligible for EIT registration in Canada
• 0–6 years of experience, utility experience is a plus
• Familiarity with engineering design tools like PSCAD
• Strong time management and cooperative skills
