Keethanow Group of Businesses is now accepting applications for the following full time position: STAFFING COORDINATOR .
Overview
The Staffing Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Support Services, will primarily be responsible for coordinating recruitment and staffing activities, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting human resources functions. This position plays a key role in attracting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining qualified employees while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment legislation.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage recruitment and staffing processes from job posting to onboarding;
Prepare and post job advertisements, collect resumes, and prepare screening and interview packages;
Schedule and coordinate screening and interview meetings and participate in the interview process;
Conduct reference checks and assist with candidate selection;
Maintain and update interview guides, job descriptions, and recruitment materials;
Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding programs for current hires;
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete employee personnel records;
Monitor staffing and human resources documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance to business processes;
Advise employees and managers on human resources policies, procedures, and employment-related matters;
Ensure compliance with applicable employment and occupational health and safety legislation;
Assist in implementing employee development, training, and health and safety programs;
Maintain human resources information systems and related records in compliance with applicable legislation;
Track staffing vacancies and provide regular recruitment updates to management;
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Post-Secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
Three years of related experience in recruitment, staffing coordination, or human resources;
Strong knowledge of applicable employment and occupational health and safety legislation;
Knowledge of recruitment, selection, onboarding, and employee retention practices;
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
Ability to interpret and implement organizational policies and procedures;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills;
High level of integrity, professionalism, and work ethic;
Experience with employee relations, recruitment, employee communications, and personnel administration;
Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion; and
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and human resources information systems is considered an asset.
