Job Responsibilities

Support Maintenance Manager in all areas to ensure efficient and safe operation of the Maintenance Department

Effectively plan, budget and lead the execution of Maintenance Projects including quotes, capital requests, cross‑functional team involvement and timeline/resource coordination

Develop departmental goals and objectives with the Maintenance Manager. Implement and maintain an effective tracking and measurable report‑out methodology, with action plans for meeting targets.

Plan and maintain a Preventative Maintenance program on all production and support equipment (Injection Moulding Machines, Assembly equipment)

Implement skills training and development programs/plans for all maintenance staff, including mentorship, classroom and on‑the‑job training

Work with appropriate team members to develop and execute an effective equipment optimization strategy

Take a lead role in Continuous Improvement initiatives relating to equipment and plant improvements

Assist the Management team in strategic planning for further growth/improvement

Support maintenance department in predictive maintenance program

Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace

Comply with the requirements of CTPAT/PIP

Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct

Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior

Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF 16949 standards

Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules,



regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook

Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives

Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards

Ensure work area is kept neat and organized

Perform other duties as required

Qualifications
Education:

Minimum completion of College diploma in a maintenance related field

Experience:

Minimum 4 years of experience in a related planning/leadership position in a manufacturing environment, preference in automotive parts industry

Experience in the implementation of an effective preventive maintenance program

Skills:

Good leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and build effective teams

Results‑oriented and able to work under pressure

Strong verbal and written communication skills (choose one depending on requirement)

Computer literate in word & spreadsheet programs

Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems

Strong interpersonal skills

Well‑developed organizational and time management skills

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000
