Weir Marine Engineering is hiring an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join our Naval Applications Engineering Team in Dartmouth, NS. Your focus will be on supporting Royal Canadian Navy’s operational testing of Uncrewed Vehicles across various platforms.
This role requires both teamwork and independent execution, emphasizing trial support, system evaluations, and maintenance of specialized equipment. You will coordinate resources for evaluations, integrate new sensors, and design prototype solutions to enhance testing capabilities, all while prioritizing safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and executing verification and validation trials
• Conduct performance assessments of RCN systems and documentation
• Execute regular maintenance and integration on UxV systems
• Create CAD designs for prototype solutions and utilize 3D printing
• Maintain a robust focus on safety and zero harm practices
Requirements:
• Canadian citizenship and government security clearance necessary
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar fields
• Physically capable of onboard inspections and measurements
• Excellent English communication and technical writing skills
• Proactive and resilient in problem-solving and challenge acceptance
