We are seeking a skilled professional to join our dynamic team in Vancouver as a Structural BIM Modeler. You will play a crucial role in preparing structural 3D models and extracting 2D drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of our designs on a variety of built‑environment projects.
Responsibilities
Create 3D structural models using Revit and AutoCAD.
Prepare 2D packages from the design models.
Develop general arrangement and detailed drawings for concrete and steel structures.
Collaborate with other disciplines and the project engineering team for structural design requirements.
Create drawings, including sheet and view creation, with minimal supervision.
Develop technical drawings from sketches, determining appropriate scales, arrangement, and specific details required by the engineering team.
Respect and enforce policies and procedures in the preparation of drawings.
Realise the various project stages within the allotted timeframes and budgets.
Run clash detection exercises and implement the necessary corrections.
Perform other related duties that may contribute to the projects.
Mentor junior designers through project assignments.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in structural design, specifically in creating 3D structural models of concrete and steel structures in the built‑environment sector.
Hold an associate or higher degree in automated drawing or civil/structural engineering technology, or in a related field, or be working to obtain the degree.
Experience working in construction is an asset.
Good communication skills (oral and written) in English.
Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Dynamo, ETABS, SECURE, and MS Office is essential.
Knowledge of ProjectWise, ACC, Rhino, Rhino Inside Revit, Grasshopper, and CSIxRevit is an added benefit.
Ability to work to meet cost objectives, quality, and deadlines.
Time‑management skills and adaptability to change.
Expected salary range: $76,500 – $93,500.
Work Environment
Hybrid approach: Most of your time is spent collaborating face‑to‑face in the office, with a minimum of three days per week onsite. Flexibility is balanced with connection, allowing you and your manager to choose the best way to meet client, team, and personal commitments.
