The Role: Corporate Analyst
The Corporate Analyst is responsible for recording, analysis and reporting of the occupancy costs and reconciliation of balance sheet occupancy related accounts.

What You Will Be Doing
Own the full-cycle fixed asset accounting process, including additions, disposals, transfers, capitalization reviews, and depreciation across multiple entities
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for fixed assets, providing guidance on capitalization policies, project accounting, and accounting treatment
Accounting for Rexall’s BeWell loyalty program including preparing weekly loyalty files, validation of data integrity, and preparation of related accruals and journal entries
Review and analyze accounting results related to prepaids, accruals, and allocations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules as part of month end close
Perform monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), identifying key drivers and providing transparent, actionable explanations to management. Investigate variances and unusual balances, driving timely resolution
Analyze trends across key expense categories (e.g., utilities, depreciation, payroll), investigate variances and unusual balances to highlight risks and opportunities
Partner with FP&A; and business stakeholders to support ongoing financial performance reviews
Prepare and analyze various ad hoc reports as required by the management
Identify and drive process improvements to enhance reporting quality and efficiency
Support audit requirements with well-documented analysis and explanations
Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
How You Will Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation (or in progress) preferred
2–3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
Strong understanding of financial statements and P&L; drivers
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability; Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP systems is considered an asset
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly
