General Description The Field Technician will possess excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and telephone etiquette. The role includes offering support to all associates and systems in the company, interpreting, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems. The Technician will provide on-site and remote IT technical support for our districts across Ontario and assist in the planning and execution of technical projects as required.
Minimum Responsibilities Communicate with individuals and professionals at all levels, including executives, in clear English
Maintain good organizational skills and work independently
Apply basic project management skills and coordinate with external contractors
Research and devise solutions independently
Provide technical level support for iOS and Android devices (primarily phones)
Support the Microsoft O365 workplace
Support Windows operating systems
Install and set up network printers
Understand Ethernet cabling types and termination
Work with Cisco IOS and Meraki products
Support Citrix environments
Work with fiber optic cabling
Utilize Ubiquiti products and Unifi OS




Support audio/visual equipment such as video teleconferencing devices, projectors, and presentation hardware
Requirements Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a similar IT field technician or support role
Proven track record of troubleshooting, project execution, and end‑user support across diverse technical environments
Compliance with company IT security and safety policies
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Willingness to travel to multiple sites in Ontario
Ability to be away from home for more than 2–3 days
Experience working at heights and operating man lift equipment (training provided)
Willingness to work occasional weekends or extended hours
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
