Description
Are you a skilled B-Pressure Welder with Rig looking for an exciting opportunity to work on a major industrial project at Ledcor in Fort Saskatchewan, AB?
Essential Responsibilities
Perform pressure welding on piping systems in accordance with ABSA codes, WPS, and project specifications
Execute SMAW (stick) and GTAW (tig) welding on carbon steel and alloy piping for industrial applications
Read and interpret P&IDs;, isometrics, welding procedures, and drawings to ensure accurate work
Complete fit-up, root pass, fill, and cap welding to meet quality and code requirements
Support rigging and positioning of pipe using appropriate equipment and safe practices
Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures, including hot work permits and lockout/tagout
Maintain welding rig, tools, and consumables to ensure safe and efficient operation on site
Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality
Requirements
Journeyperson Welder ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Initial Alberta B-Pressure Welder Certification is valid
Additional tickets for welding stainless steel, 304H are preferred but not required
Provide current DSP (Direct Service Provider) documentation
Previous industrial construction experience required
Successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Confined space entry & monitor ticket
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean 3-year abstract
Project online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions
Start Date: Mid July 2026
Work schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off or 5 days on / 2 days off
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
