Overview Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial road and bridge maintenance contractor. We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310T Certified Technician for our Woodstock, Ontario division. We welcome and encourage applications from 310J Truck–Trailer Service Technicians, as well as 3rd year apprentices, as we have apprenticeship developmental programs in place.
Responsibilities Conduct annual safety inspections on the current fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment.
Perform repairs and follow our preventive maintenance program.
Complete duties as assigned by Leadhand/Mechanical Superintendent.
Qualifications Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T)
310J Truck–Trailer Service Technician license considered an asset
3rd year apprentices are welcome for our developmental program
Registered for DriveOn portal
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs
Knowledge and experience in engine/emission diagnostics, electrical diagnostics and repair
Knowledge and experience in heavy truck hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension, and steering
Knowledge and experience on Bosch Rexroth salt management system
Knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding considered an asset
Good knowledge of trade-related worksite safety
Experience on industry related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
Capable of working overtime as required
Capable of performing call out to attend vehicle breakdown
