Description
The County of Annapolis is currently seeking a Manager of Revenue to join our Finance team! The Manager of Revenue is a key leadership role within the Municipality’s finance department. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager of Revenue is responsible for the overall management of customer and business‑financial revenue and receivable accounts within the Municipality. The role ensures timely revenue collection (taxes, utilities and other fees), oversees financial processes like tax sales and reconciliations, supports policy development, and provides leadership to staff while maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications and Expectations

Education: Undergraduate degree or diploma in commerce, accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.

Designation: CPA designation or working toward the designation preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience,



preferably within a municipal government organization and with leadership experience.

Knowledge: Solid understanding of municipal finance and accounting, including Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS). Knowledge and experience within municipal taxation is an asset.

Requirements: Candidates must obtain a criminal records check. This position will occasionally require work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.

Communication: Ability to explain complex financial matters to various personnel and facilitate public presentations.

Financial Quality Assurance: Ability to identify discrepancies and rectify errors to produce accurate financial reporting.

Coaching and Mentoring: Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and encourage direct reports with emotional intelligence.

Technologically Savvy: Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to understand and utilize financial software.

Salary & Benefits
Rate of Pay: Pay Band 6 $78,454.16 – $98,873.73
