CNC Machinist Salary: $60,000$70,000 Vacation: 3 weeks Perks: Eligible after 3 months RRSP: Matching program available About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support the programming, setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machining equipment used to manufacture components for welding fixtures, checking fixtures, prototype tooling, and various production support activities.

This role reports directly to the CNC Supervisor .

Key Responsibilities CNC Programming Review CAD models and engineering drawings to develop CNC machining programs.

Create, modify, and optimize G?code for milling and turning operations.

Recommend machining strategies to improve quality, cycle time, and manufacturability.

Machining Operations Set up and operate CNC milling and turning equipment.

Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods.

Prepare raw materials for machining.

Quality Control Inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment.

Verify compliance with engineering drawings and GD&T; requirements.

Review CMM reports and adjust CNC programs to correct dimensional deviations.





Equipment & Inventory Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.

Coordinate preventative maintenance and major servicing.

Monitor tooling and material inventory and communicate replenishment needs.

Other Duties Update CNC schedules to ensure accurate reporting of completed work.

Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Diploma in Mechanical Technician, Tool & Die, CNC Machining, or equivalent.

Solid blueprint reading and GD&T; knowledge.

Minimum 3 years of CNC programming and machining experience.

Experience with CNC milling and turning operations.

Solid understanding of cutting tools and machining parameters. CAM experience (Mastercam).

Ability to independently set up, troubleshoot, and optimize machining processes.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with Okuma CNC lathes and Haas machining centers .

Background in tooling, fixture, or prototype manufacturing.

Welding and fabrication knowledge.
