We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Cloud Software Engineer and join our dynamic team for a client, one of the major banks.

Contract duration: 6 months with possibility of extension. Role type: Hybrid (2‑3 days a week in office required – Downtown Toronto).

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, primarily with AWS

Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver data across operational and analytical syst

Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, ECS Fargate, Athena, and related technologies to support scalable application and data soluti

Design and maintain data storage and analytics platforms using PostgreSQL and modern table formats such as Apache Iceb

Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical soluti

Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency within AWS environme

Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation,



and continuous improvement of engineering practices and standa

Required Qualifications

Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application design principles

Hands‑on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using AWS

Experience designing, building, or supporting ETL workflows and data pipelines

Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Amazon Athena, AWS Lambda, ECS Fargate, and Apache Iceberg

Understanding of distributed systems, API design, data modeling, and application integration patterns

Experience with source control systems, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building event‑driven or data‑intensive applications on AWS

Familiarity with data lake, lakehouse, and up-to-date analytics architectures

Knowledge of cloud security, observability, governance, and cost optimization best practices

Experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore

Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph for AI application and agent orchestration

Experience working within Agile development teams and participating in technical design and architecture discussions

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
