The D365 Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing supply chain systems and processes across the enterprise landscape. This role ensures robust alignment between business operations and technology solutions, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (D365 F&O;). The consultant will leverage deep expertise in supply chain modules, integrations, and governance frameworks to enable efficient, scalable, and high‑performing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain SCM solution architectures within D365 F&O;
Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams on end-to-end supply chain solutions
Produce and maintain functional and technical design documentation
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and operational strategy
Implementation & Optimization
Lead configuration, customization, and deployment of SCM modules, including:
Inventory Management
Warehouse Management (WMS)
Procurement & Sourcing
Production Control / Manufacturing
Master Planning
Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure cross-functional process alignment
Configure workflows, system processes, and user functionality
Design and implement operational reporting and analytics solutions
Support testing cycles, UAT, and QA collaboration
Develop documentation including process flows, solution designs, test scripts, and user guides
Deliver training and post-go-live support
Identify and drive process improvements, automation, and optimization initiatives
Oversee SCM systems across the enterprise portfolio
Ensure system performance, scalability, and integration alignment
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and roadmap initiatives
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to operational and regulatory standards
Support audit, risk, and internal controls within supply chain processes
Embed best practices and governance frameworks into solution design
Integration & Data Management
Design and manage integrations between D365 SCM and:
Logistics providers
Procurement systems
Manufacturing systems
Third-party warehouse / transportation systems
Maintain data accuracy and operational visibility
Define and document data flows, mappings, and system interactions
Required Skills & Qualifications
University degree in IT, Supply Chain, or related field
5+ years of experience as a D365 F&O; SCM Functional Consultant / Analyst
Proven experience with enterprise-scale ERP implementations
Strong expertise across core SCM modules and end-to-end processes
Supply Chain Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
Inventory & warehouse operations
Manufacturing / production processes
Demand planning & forecasting
Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain lifecycle and optimization
Other Skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex environments
Strong documentation and process design capabilities
Problem‑solving mindset with focus on operational efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
D365 SCM / F&O; certifications
Experience with Power Platform, Azure integrations, or IoT in supply chain
Exposure to Power BI, data analytics, or advanced planning tools
