Responsibilities

Responsible for design, space planning, and specifications of contract furniture, systems products, and other interior design furnishings. Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space requirements within allotted time and budget constraints.

Consults and collaborates with the Sales Team in layout, design, and space planning of furniture specifications. Travels to client locations to confirm critical site dimensions, finishes, and other project details.

Performs space planning, furniture selection, layout, product pricing, development of standards programs, and design and selection of fabrics and finishes. Produces as‑built drawings, space plans, and final installation drawings for specification and installation of furniture.

Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning in person and/or virtual meetings to determine furniture needs and develop solutions.

Manages tenders, including review of detailed tender documents, furniture specifications, application, and product strategy. Contributes to product strategy and value engineering, identifies deviations from specifications, and responds to qualifying questions on RFPs.

Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers, answering routine and specialized questions regarding furniture systems.

Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering, and A&D; drawing sets, communicates discrepancies, and provides on‑site job inspections comparing construction drawings to final build‑out requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, architectural technology, or a related program preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years in a related field or an equivalent combination of education,



training, and experience.

Prior experience in the office furniture industry, general knowledge of systems furniture, and customer interaction required.

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.

Working knowledge of Auto‑CAD, CET, and 2020 CAP required.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Ability to travel locally or long distance, regularly or irregularly (international or domestic).

Bending and stretching to measure and evaluate spaces.

Office setting and construction sites.
