Job Description & Summary
A career with PwC Private will allow you to provide private companies with a wide range of business advisory services such as audit, tax compliance and planning to help them improve their operational efficiency and focus more time on business strategy. You will experience the full business cycle of a private company: incorporation, growth, maturity and transition. The team provides clients with unique personal and customized service plan design and implementation for private entities, contractors, and high-net-worth individuals. You will help focus on key areas such as wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestments and exit strategies.

Responsibilities
Develop Canadian tax planning strategies for private companies, including compensation and distribution planning for Canadian-controlled trusts and private corporations.
Prepare and review Canadian income tax returns (T1, T2 and T3) for Canadian shareholders, and participate in work on tax expenses, financial statements and memo writing.
Compile client‑related information and prepare client files; document, research and follow up on clients’ tax issues.
Consider feedback and reflections to develop self‑awareness and gain a better understanding of one’s strengths and opportunities for development.
Delegate to provide development opportunities for others and coach them to achieve results, develop new ways of doing things and propose innovative solutions to problems.
Use a wide range of tools and techniques to derive information from current trends in the field of activity.
Verify the quality, accuracy and relevance of one’s work and that of others.
Communicate in a transparent and structured way to influence others, understand various situations and change one’s behaviour to build diverse and quality relationships.
Abide by the firm’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any other field deemed equivalent.
CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it. PwC offers full training support.
Between 1-3 years of experience in Canadian corporate tax, tax preparation and due diligence; CPA In‑Depth Tax Program levels 1 and 2 completed or in progress.
Basic technical knowledge of tax services, research skills and aptitude/willingness to learn.
Desire to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic team environment in multidisciplinary teams in tax and advisory services.
Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple mandates simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills, good business sense and creative mind.
The successful candidate must be proficient in English,
in addition to French, as they will be required to support or collaborate with English‑speaking clients, colleagues and stakeholders as part of their employment at PwC Canada.

The salary range for this position is $54 700 to $91 200. The base salary is determined by the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and work location. Eligible employees may also participate in variable incentive pay programs. PwC Canada provides a competitive compensation package, inclusive benefits, and flexibility programs to support wellbeing.
